Who is Jesus

Jesus is the third in the trinity – God the son. We have three that makes up the trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God’s salvation to the tragedy of the fall of man and the answer to man’s sin problem.

Jesus Christ would not have been in position to save man if he himself was a mere man, or if he has been subjected to sin. Jesus Christ came in the form of man, to redeem man from sin and it wages. Jesus Chris did not come to merely teach us about the ways of God and how to live morally, upright lives.

He didn’t come to merely, simply, spectacular signs and wonders. Rather he came to destroy, the works of the devil in the life of man and restore man to God. He came to restore man to his first holy estate, so that man can now God have eternal communion with God.

Its important to state what Jesus came on earth to do

Forgiveness of sin: Man is dirty before God beyond consumption of the satanic nature which he inherited, and because of the sinful practice that meant therefore, while the wages of sin is death, the only way of escape which was made by God, in his love is to send Jesus Christ to bear all the punishment.

Isaiah 53:5-6 “But he was pierced for our transgression, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought peace was upon him, and by his sounds we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

The blood purchases forgiveness for every act of wickedness that any man may have committed. When one calls on God for salvation, pleading the blood of Jesus, God forgives. God reveals that it is only the blood of Jesus Christ that can atone for our sins and make us stand righteous sanctified before him. For it is written that without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin (Hebrews 9:22).

A new heart: Every individual who hasn’t been born again belongs to that generation of vipers. The individual’s heart is corrupt; hence the  thoughts and ways that flow from it must be sinful. What God does through Christ is to make the tree (your heart) good so that its fruit, (your thoughts and actions) be good. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God has made provision for every man to receive a new heart and am new spirit.

Ezekiel 36:25-27  “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I’ll cleanse you from your impurities and from your sins. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.”Restoration of man’s dignity: Man was enjoying a great life before disobedience. A life of color and dignity. He was enjoying a divine life at the garden of Eden. A life free from oppression and assault of the devil. Jesus came to them those
